About Hayward
Hayward – an industry leading manufacturer of flow control products including all kind of Basket Strainers, plastic valves and systems for a wide range of water and wastewater, pharmaceutical, aquarium, chemical, food and water park applications.Thank you for your interest in Hayward – an industry leading manufacturer of flow control products including all kind of Basket Strainers, plastic valves and systems for a wide range of water and wastewater, pharmaceutical, aquarium, chemical, food and water park applications. We hope you find our website user-friendly and helpful. Please report any issues you have using the link found under Contact Hayward. Hayward carries an extensive line of plastic valves including two-way and three-way true union ball valves, proportional control valves, pneumatic and electric actuated valves, pipeline strainers, basket strainers, and Y-strainers. In addition to our complete line of pneumatic and electric actuators that can be packaged together with our valve products, we also have actuator mounting kits, control systems/panels, bag filters, cartridge filters, in-tank filtration systems and high purity water and aggressive chemical filtration cartridges designed to meet today’s demanding processing requirements.
Hayward Valves feature a blowout proof stainless steel stem and a unique full body liner that has a V-notch retention design. This assures positive sealing of the liner to the valve body. An integrally molded face seal provides positive sealing against the mating flange without the need for additional gaskets. And the lever handle has a built in lockout feature.
Other plastic valves have only a thin o-ring on the disc to seal the valve, but Hayward valves feature a full body liner seal. This means that the process media never contacts the valve body. And you can count on the full liner seal to perform reliably, year after year.
Hayward Valves can be easily fitted into a metal piping system and sizes meet ANSI B16.10 face-to-face dimension standards, allowing simple retrofit.
These valves have no metal in contact with the process media, so they cannot corrode or rust, nor will they contaminate sensitive fluids flowing through them.
Applications that are well along in the design stage can still take advantage of Hayward's Bus Control System. In both a conventional and Bus system installation, the computer interfaces with a PLC. The PLC simply sequences the operation of valves and is already commonplace in most multiple valve systems. Therefore, there are no significant changes required to the main control station to take advantage of Hayward's Bus Technology.
The electrical bus module is a plug-in type protocol module that allows for maximum flexibility. It mounts directly into the actuator housing and is completely contained within the housing. This eliminates the need for external additions to the actuator or any additional brackets. Several different protocol modules are available to handle all applications parameter requirements.
Hayward equipment has been designed so that only few person is needed to install it, unlike other ordinary fittings. Suppose for Bulkhead Fitting, a special hex shape on the body end of the fitting allows it to be gripped from outside the tank while the nut is tightened.
PKD and PKS actuators of Hayward feature a modular mounting system for the many different options that are available for these actuators. Options mount separately to the actuators, they are not built-in. This allows for a specific applications. You never have to pay for an option package with features you may not need. Modular mounting also means you can add options to the actuator in the field.
Hayward is unique in design, the valve coil rectifies AC current to DC current, resulting in lower coil operating temperatures than other plastic solenoid valves. This permits the coil to be rated for 100% continuous duty applications. Thus, the valve can be left in the open position indefinitely or it can be cycled continuously with no coil damage.
